Hi! Great question! I find a dark roast is preferable, strong flavors work well with other strong flavors. It will be fine to use the food savor, in fact it may help seal in the tastes. I would keep the bag in a humidor, you still need to make sure the cigars are in the right condition during the infusing process. 1 month resting just means not touching the bag, leaving it undisturbed so as not to disturb the infusion.
